Matt + Amy’s Veterans Terrace Wedding { Burlington, WI }

::::

BURLINGTON, WI — A train passed by during the ceremony… a very long, loud train. It would have been an uncomfortable annoyance at most weddings, but because both Matt and Amy’s grandfathers worked for the railroad, it was a powerful reminder of where they came from, and why they were standing there.

Other than that, it was light-hearted day filled with a lot of love, constant laughter, and prodigious amounts of libation. So even though the couple isn’t from Burlington, and no one in attendance was from Burlington, it felt a lot like home.

We usually stick together during the reception, working as a team to get the lighting right and capture different perspectives of each precious moment, but after the traditional dances we had to split up so we could take took turns covering the dance floor and the photo booth. Both were so much fun that neither of us wanted to stop doing either, and it took some effort to pull ourselves away each time.

As you’ll see, it was all a lot of fun. There were very few straight faces or dull moments that night.
